Wins don't tell whole story. SA nearly chased 450-odd against us. and Oz has a 350+ score as well.

They do actually, the last 1% or 0.1% is the hardest (distance) in any sport. This is exactly why 400+ scores have rarely been chased down as frequently as they could have - you could also apply this say to the laws of physics.

they ran out of time, hence a draw. gavaskar's 220 in oval was one more such case. at times, 4th innings targets can't be chased due to lack of time.... in this test, there are enough overs to have a result either way.

I wonder who has the most 50+ scores for India in those successful chases over 200 .

India actually chased quite a few tough thames of 200+ during 2007-10 .

380 odd against England, 200+ twice against aus ,250+ against lanka on that turner ,200+ against pak in delhi

They didn't ran out of time, after Faf was run out by Rahane Philander & Steyn could've chased it down but India's tactics almost certainly ensured they couldn't. Like I said the last 1-0.1% is always the hardest!

Pitch is flat even our tail ender's are scoring easily   have a feeling England will win if they survive first 20 overs without wickets

even if they lose an early wkt or two, root will take them home. he leads from the front, unless rat who leads with his mouth

SRT 5

Laxman 3

Pujara 2

Sehwag 2

Dravid 2

I suppose that this means the great Rat has 1 or 0 such scores.
