nevada
Getting to the final is itself a tribute. A win in the finals will be a bonus. CSK have a pattern of s veteran performing unexpectedly well in a key match, luke Watto in the past and Uthappa most recently. Let's see who does it this time. Pant chose the worst bowler to defend final over in curren who gets predictable with his cutters at death. .

Rabada/Curran/Avesh who ever bowled the last over vs Dhoni would be under enormous pressure. They know he has done it in the past. Everyone knows that Dhoni is one helicopter shot away from the total. If I were a betting person, I'd put my $ on MSD in that match even if Rabada bowled and there were 20 fielders. Some people know how to eek out a win. MSD is one of them.

CSK is expected to reach the finals. Would have been a tribute for the perennially under achieving Kohli lead RCB.

BlueBlood
It is almost impossible for CSK to win final. Shakib, Narine, Chakravarthy and Ferguson are world-class bowlers who will not give anything away. Only Mavi is a weaklink and he too has been bowling intelligently. Even if Mavi fails, Venkatesh Iyer can bowl a couple of overs. CSK is heavily reliant on Gaekwad and Faf. These two along with Uthappa and Rayudu are sitting ducks against KKR bowling. Dhoni will struggle against the spinners and Ferguson. Only hope for CSK is if the batting order of KKR collapse and CSK chase a small total with due. bowl_out

Due to his lunge manouevers he cannot pick Varun's googly. If KKR wins toss and chases like they did with Delhi, I would bet 100% they are winning the game. The only way KKR loses to CSK is if they bat first and have a massive collapse and its a sub 140 chasing score. In such a case I would bank on Faf to deliver a clutch performance as he always does for CSK. Otherwise, there really is no chance batting first. With Shakib as third spinner with his left arm variation, KKR is even more stronger now. Unless Mavi has a bad day, there really is no easy runs for Uthappa, Gaekwad, Faf, Rayudu etc. to milk. Will be a story for the ages. Pant's leadership deficiencies again undid DC. Stoinis playing as a specialist batsman and batting at 3 was a desperate move, denied their best batsman this season Hetmyer enough batting time. He did show a lot of calm and seemed to be in control, that was a huge plus but has to get better with his tactical moves plus his own batting needs to be a lot better. And as i said, if he had chosen anyone else, we would 100% have lost considering how well misbah was hitting the ball. It was only joginder which made him causal and he played that stupid shot and because of his lack of pace it didnt carry over Sreesanth Oh so you think Dhoni had already calculated that Misbah would get casual in the last over of a freaking world final and that he would play a stupid shot and that's why he decided to give the over to Joginder. Simple ye nahi ho sakta ki ek pacer bacha tha bas, isliye use over de diya. Dhoni hai ya Dr Strange. Lord

Definitely, kyu khilaya Joginder ko jab usse bowling nahi karani thi, he wasn't an allrounder for sure. Also I will remind you of a similar incident which happened at the 2016 world t20 semis, West Indies needed 8 runs of the final over and Dhoni gave the ball to Kohli instead of Ashwin, he just didn't trusted spinners for death overs that's it. No calculation or masterstroke just the fact that he didn't trust spinners to bowl at death. Chahe seam bowler kitna bhi ghatiya ho (ex Kohli)
