All T20 matches should be Day Games to limit the Due factor

Agreed night matches form a spectacle but its heavily lob sided towards the team that is chasing targets. So the toss becomes a lottery and determine which team will win. In my opinion, we must play all T20 matches in day time before due sets in.

Dunno why but night games have their own charisma. I don't enjoy watching games under sunlight, even if it's just on TV. Night matches 'look' better.

 

T20s should start at 6 PM evening in winters, it starts getting dark by then. And end by 10 PM. Night time is good for summer.

This tournament is still pkay. The big one in 2023 for the 50 overs will be played in India during Oct-Nov. Expect quite a lot of dew then in the games that matter.

That is bcoz night games add glamour with lights and fireworks. So visually it looks better. But day games have more balance between bat & ball.

I agree . It’s ridiculous as sides are playing in different conditions . Either play in due for both sides or just play in daytime .

Cricket officials are stupid. For the 2023 World Cup, just start the games around 12pm local time. To really minimize any dew effects.

 

Similarly in the current T20 World Cup, night games should have started a couple of hours earlier.

Hope the current captain who is likely to continue until 2023 starts winning the toss as well. Else, it may become win the toss win the game type tournament.

Since night games seem like a necessity for broadcast and revenue purposes, what can be done to mitigate the nuisance caused by the dew? Isn't there some technology available to reduce the slipperiness of the ball? Should the outfield be changed to deco-turf or whatever material it is in hockey?

ICC goes like this

If tourney is in Australia all India games should be Night fixtures. 

If in England all India games to be day games.

If In India again Night games. 

Now in UAE night games. 

 

As a Indian fan it does take out the feel to enjoy Indian team playing in every possible time frame. But we know ICC does it for extra revenue. 

 

2003 WC was classic..  Indian games were scattered into day games as well as late night fixtures.  Games going well past midnight.

Its not so much the game time, but rather when the game actually starts.

 

Coin toss, national anthem etc etc, thats a wasted 30mins to 1hr.

 

Some alternative needs to be sought here so the first over in a D/N game starts an hour or two beforehand.
