A calculation made up (no pun intended) to prove an innings was poor or meaningless because the batter got some lives. In other words boohoo how can this guy perform because I don’t like him. NameGoesHere Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 I’m not sure how to take this criteria of the original poster. If by time span 1992-2021, OP means any player who played a game in that time, regardless of when they first started, and assuming it’s the greatest cricketer and nor just batsman, then for me it has to be Kapil Dev for India (last Test 1994). But it’s a different thing if we also talk of cricketing contribution in that time spam, in which case it’s SRT, as Kapil was ending his career by then. Australia has to be Shane Warne. England I’d say Joe Root. Rest looks good to me.

No it's considering their careers between 1992-2021...that's why excluded the likes of Kapil Dev, Miandad whose majority career contributions were in the 80s

Please share your lists as well India - Sachin Tendulkar Pakistan - Wasim Akram Australia - Ricky Ponting England - James Anderson South Africa - Jacques Kallis New Zealand - Kane Williamson Sri Lanka - Muttiah Muralitharan West Indies - Brian Lara McGrath over Ponting. The rest are spot on.
DeepSpace Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 For India it is Chokohlibaba ... the greatest player with no backfoot game. Can SRT match that?
