Upcoming Indian Spin Talent

There are numerous fast bowling talent making their mark in domestic, A cricket and even in IPL.

 

But same cannot be said of our traditional strength- spin bowling.

 

Her is the current stock of spin bowlers played for India recently.

OffSpin:

Ashwin,

Washington( All rounder)

 

Legspin:
Yuzi ( white ball)
Kuldeep
Rahul Chahar ( white ball)

 

Left Arm Orthodox:
Jadeja ( Allrounder)
Axar
Krunal ( Allrounder, white ball)

Varun Chakarvarty

 

Now for the upcoming talent, the cupboard is bare. Potential Indian picks are Ravi Bishno( legspin) or maybe Harpreet ( left arm orthodex).

His first class SR is good but he doesn't get to bowl much.

Karnatka has produced Shreyas Gopal, M Ashwin & Kariappa.

 

But despite getting game time in IPL, they couldn't graduate to next level.

That’s BS. M Ashwin is from TN not Karnataka

Look at his average and SR.

 

When you don't bowl, you can't pick wickets.

chahal,ravi and chahar are the future .. don't think anybody else is looking promising for now. Feel sorry for VC , I don't think we are going to see him again, he is a one D player, can't field.

Actually chawla mishra is still a better leg spin test bowler than many others

I see zilch apart from Bishnoi and Chahar to an extent. Sundar is a batting AR.

 

Every U19 WC, I keep a watch on the spinners and we keep getting one left arm darter (e.g., Anukul Roy) after another. No proper leggies, no left arm wristspinners, no classical offies (just a few darters), etc.
