I would usually be skeptical about rumors. But with Ashwin/Kohli anything goes. Remember how Kohli mocked Ashwin with mankading gesture an act that Ashwin performed in a match completely unrelated to RCB.  Ashwin played that incident cool. Have you seen Kohli doing the same to any other players? I know once he took a dig at Mumbai INdians. But Rohit didn't back down. He gave it back in the most subtle way. I think Ashwin has every reason to feel betrayed by Kohli.  I remember when England toured India in 2016/2017, Anderson publicly questioned Kohli's batting ability because of his failures in England previously,  and had a sort of feud with him.  Ashwin confronted Anderson and was trying to "shield" his captain. 

 

The major problem that Kohli has with Ashwin is that Ashwin is too smart, too intelligent for him. 

 

 Always felt that Kohli feels a complex because of Ashwin and tries to impose his power/authority on him to make up for his complex.

 

If Kohli had leadership sense, he would actually try and pick Ashwin's brain all the time.

It is that noball controversy.  Rohit retorted Bumrah's wide was also incorrectly called lol

This has been a hobby of mine since 2014, it is an amazing science. Easy to be a skeptic like you and others are - I am also a huge skeptic.

 

But I've seen this work amazingly. 

 

It is sad that instead of challenging the logic and facts, people make a mockery of the science itself.

The problem is that it is a probabilistic science ( although some things can be seen clear cut ).Nobody has applied probabilistic  or stochastic models to make it more scientific hence it is subject to mockery. It is like predicting the weather ( with the sophisticated models that are used for the weather )

Kohli took on (whether justifiably or not) Rahane, Pujara, Chahal, Ashwin, Kuldeep, Dhawan, Sehwag, Harbhajan, Yuvraj, Rohit, Kumble, Didn't want Laxman, Ganguly, and Sachin's recommendation of coach. Didn't want Dravid as batting coach.

 

Towards the end he was also not getting along with Shastri. He had issues with the selectors. Then he was taking on Ganguly. He had problems with much of the media. His runs dried up. 

 

Did he have any friends left? Only Shami?

he could have had some initial issues with Rahane and Pujara, but he has been consistently backing them (even when they don't deserve it) for past 2 yrs. I agree that he's definitely had falling out with Ganguly, Ashwin, and Rohit at the minimum.
