One thing to remember & I'm not sure if Dravid has that is the slightly more positive/aggressive attitude of Shastri. Now again these are early days but tactically Dravid always seems to be ultra defensive to me, like with that declaration at Kanpur! I hope I'm wrong & he doesn't peg our test team back, the only way our team doesn't reach its potential is with sh!t tactics &/or team selections - we've seen the latter with Brat, hopefully Dravid doesn't show us the former :whack3:

india would have probably won the series 3 0 honestly. first test was a massive fluke due to the blundering idiot's pathetic selections. We dominated the game for the most part. pink ball magic did the trick under awful conditions.

When you got out at 36, selection doesn't even matter.

Explain how?

How presence of Pant could have saved us?

Leftie makes a huge difference.

Jadeja and Pant would have made a huge difference. Besides if clown actually dint get run out by pussy rahane, he may have actually contributed to a win.

Having all rightness is way too predictable.

Cummins average vs lefties shoots up to 28 29 vs India.

His average vs rightness is bloody sub 20.

The simplest reason is he's a better bat than Saha & Jadeja a better bowler than limp d*** Sharma. Pant could've made a big difference to the first innings total & that would've helped us get a much bigger lead.

Anyway I'd rather win 2-1 than worry about a hypothetical 3-0 drubbing! The 36/9 made the series win really epic, just like the follow on in 2001 :yawn2:

I had complete faith in the team I knew that 36 was a total fluke albeit against a great bowling attack.

We were in control for 90% of the game. Lot of twits don't see it as such. There is only discussions about 36 /9 almost everywhere on social media.

We did have first innings lead,if somehow he dragged it to 150 we had a chance

if Saha continued to play we would have lost the series

One of the proudest moments for me as not just an Indian cricket fan, but as a generic cricket fan. Period. Wonderful series in terms of both quality of cricket and the drama that was unfolding in how we were bleeding (i.e., losing) cricketers left and right, and yet new heroes kept springing to the forefront.

There is a series of 5 videos on Youtube - good compilation

even though each of these videos is < 10 min each, it still gives me goosebumps. what a proud moment - truly one of the greatest achievements for our team.
