What changes will likely be made to the team after we lose the 2nd Test at Joburg except, Kohli replacing Vihari ?

Umesh for Siraj. Kohli for Vihari. Ashwin has to play. Cape Town has helped spinners in first class and also in England SA test last time.

I would not play Mayank even if fully fit. He averages 28 (below Rahane) in this series 

 

He averages 27 odd overseas in 21 innings. so the 28 average is normal for him.

They can bring in Mulder for Maharaj. Mulder is not 4th pacer option, but is decent 5th pacer. and although his test batting avg is poor, he is quite decent with bat. Ideally, they should have had Pretorius.

Kagiso Rabada has learned his lesson - he will not try to imitate Jimmy Anderson and float in balls. He will go for broke with pace next match and hit the deck.

Ishant would have been perfect on this Joburg wicket. He does not try to do too much.Poeple are underestimating the value of Ishant away from home.He will keep things tight and pick one or two wickets. Here Both Shami and Bumrah were trying to be heros every ball.

In interview, Elgar implied 2 interesting things: 1. Rabada is all fired up (someone in our team seems to have woken him up), 2. cape town pitch is going to be diff than usual.

depends on his fitness quite a lot. Ishant did badly in Leeds because he was visibly down on pace/intensity. depends on which version turns up - the version in Lords tests vs Eng and NZ (WTC) was solid enough. However, he is not a long-term option. Need to identify successors for him - If Porel was 5-7 kph faster, he would be a possibility

I cannot talk about injuries, If you turn up for the match then you are fit according my book.He is not long term option but you need a steady bowler like him who bowls 20 overs and taking 2 or three wickets,

Let me tell you something - the politically correct crowd may be all gaga about race relations - but many native people do not like Indians in general. That maybe native people in Africa or natives in Fiji etc. Actually people who treat us with most respect are white people in most white countries and people like the Japanese.

 

We need to discard political correctness and treat people similarly - don't have any misconceptions about the likes of Rabada and Holding and Clive Lloyd and Bucknor.

This. With all the focus on Rahane and Pujara this guys performance has gone under the radar. He throws it away after a couple of shots, not good enough for an opener.
