What changes will likely be made to the team after we lose the 2nd Test at Joburg except, Kohli replacing Vihari ?

Will the 50s save the backside of Hahane and Pujara ?

I think they will play the 3rd test no matter what. I don't expect any of the batsmen to be dropped. This TM is meek.

They will not be dropped as long as ViRat is captain. In the next test, we can Kohli to come in for Mayank (who is injured), and either Chepu/Vihari will be forced to open. Siraj will be out, and Ishant will come in even though Umesh is a better bet on current form.

We might struggle to put together a playing 11 in next test.   Repeat of Aus tour.     Mayank and Siraj are the latest additions to list of injured players.

umesh for siraj and Brat for Mayank (with Bihari or Dracula opening).

Umes for siraj

Saini for booms or shami

Saini did really well in a tour

Ishan for pant

Varat for rahane

We will be fine.

Don't count out the Saffers yet! They could pull off another choke job.

I'm expecting the same, they are like current WI team, can lose 8 wickets for 35 runs.

Expecting a different result by playing the same team combination is a recipe for disaster... It may click once in a while

it may be a disaster, but there are no signs of change. One can discuss it all one wants, but there are no genuine indicators of accountability at that level

Why are you replacing Mayank and not Vihari?

Is he injured?

4. Kohli

5. Iyer

6. Vihari

7. Pant

11. Bumrah

No need to play Ashwin, it will only harm his stats.

No apparent change except kohli coming in but after watching Jansen go about his business and the variation he brings in the SA attack with his height and angle how I wish we soon find a quality left arm pacer with credidentials, the Indian attack is a great one but can still get better with more killer instinct, shami, bumrah, Siraj, shardul, ishant are all rhythmic bowlers who set up batsmen with guile and patience, need one out and out quick bowler who in short bursts can be deadly and push the batsmen back or a tall left armer. Imo Umran Malik can be drafted in the squad now that ranji trophy has been postponed, bcci should hold a camp for all domestic left arm quick bowlers getting them to work with paras mhambrey and co. Yash dayal, prhtiviraj yarra, Sushant Mishra, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh choudhary are all impressive
