That shouldn't have been a no ball, it was a tight call. And they only checked because a wicket fell. If that was not a no ball, SA would need 3 in 1 Ball and India winning or at least securing a tie most likely.

That is my point. Why do they check this on a WICKET.Those few millimeters wouldnt have made any difference in that shot anyways.ICC and its stupid rules

Mandhana dropped an easy catch of the batter who finished the game on the last ball. Fielding standard in street cricket is much better..

exactly and no ball

No one expects them to be powerful or great talent even but basic stuff should be managed

That was indeed a no ball. Why cant Deepti bowl a bit back from crease no idea.. every other Indian bowler does..also really bad field setting. Deepti sharma shoutedd FO to Du perez. It came back to haunt her unfortunately.. but even if we qualified the chances of beating aus was 10’perc

2016 WT20 - Ashwin and Hardik

2017 CT - Bumrah

2022 WWC- Deepti

no balls cost us big in 3 ICC tourneys already

Thats why teams like nz are so so better. I remember one interview with vettori. He said in nz as children grow up the ranks we focus on basics first and last. Basics basics basics. In india we make a guy tendulkar in the first opportunity if he plays well..

I assume that she might have bowled no balls before as well but the umpires didn't had a look. It was just a matter of wicket fall where they had a look and it turns out to be a no ball. So, she might not be aware of the situation that she was bowling no balls continuously.

If that is the case icc has to be pillored. Every ball is checked in mens game

Anyway you are extra cautious of these things in such situations

It is disheartening especially for her because she was the best of all the bowlers, whenever she was bowling, she was keeping the reqd rate in check but it is perhaps that one no ball which costed India the match and a place in semis.

SA womens team have improved in the last 5 years... indian women have regressed.

Coming back with wins against only minnows like Pak/Ban and a fluke win against WI but lose to SENA countries. Normal service has resumed. If this was 5-10 years ago wouldn't have minded at all. Now with experience of playing in Big Bash, Hundred and so much money pumped in by BCCI, the team is regressing rather than challenging Australia as an equal.
