Mohsin was actually statistically the best pacer of this IPL.because he was both Economical as well as wicket taking.

14 wickets from.9 matches and an ER of 5.9

Undoubtedly. His line and length and the bounce he was able to extract made it very hard to hit him.

How good is he? Is he comparable to anyone in the past?

Is Arshdeep better?

Mohsin's qualities ....

6'4" or 6'3" Left armer

Hits the deck hard and gets steep bounce

Pace of 135 k to 145 k

Bowls outswing to RHB with the new ball

Has a good idea about which lengths to bowl

Good slower balls

Bowls well both at the start and at the death

Was both wicket taking as well as economical in the last IPL

Slight comparison to RP Singh can be made but RP could swing the ball in and Mohsin gets more bounce.

I think Mohsin has a much higher ceiling than Arshdeep if he can stay fit and has a good temperament.

Doesn't have the inswinger to RHB yet. Thats very important for a left armer.

amount of hype we have generated for Mohsin in ICF.. if he does well for India we should get some credit:p:

In Australia he would ahve relished. That hard length is very very difficult to go after. Left handers always bring an advantage as we could see from Arshdeep who was also hyped for his death bowling. He surprised us with new ball bowling.  They backed the wrong guy from Lucknow super giants. Avesh Khan instead of this guy.

Mooshin is one of the few Indians who puts a lot of shoulders into it a reason why he bowls these heavy balls.

Yes. He has good wheels. hit a top speed of 151. Pretty impressive. Not sure how he will look after surgery. Wish he had been used in some series.

I would have certainly waited for him to perform in next IPL

Hisinjury didn't hepl either, heard he was in the reckoning for rhe selectors (strange feom our selectors as they don't go out of pecking order)

probably because we are seeeing for the first time a rising fast bowler who is already good on all 3 fronts - pace, swing/bounce and accuracy
