they bowl slow because eng county pitches are mostly seamers' paradise. if you look at darren stevens' stats (sub-120 kph super-trundler) over the last 4-5 yr, everything will become apparent. the way you become successful in counties is: (a) swing the ball, and (b) trundle at <130 to bowl longer spells and more overs to get more wkts. as a result, this is why eng repeatedly flatters to deceive in Oz

England pitches are made for sub 120 trundles like it was back in the day when you had likes of Mark Ealham, hollioake, Ronnie Irani etc trundle with wicketkeeper up to stumps

Tbf this strategy helps them succeed in s Africa and n.z. though. 

Seamers paradise. Thats why philtrundler jammietrundler southee trundler all do well in such conditions.

Should be quicker than our spearhead bhuvi who bowls around 121kph in shortest format of the game. Anderson at 40 can bowl 140kph and this guy is unfit from last decade or so to play even in helpful conditions with his 120kph thunderbolts.

Theres a reason all of English cricket lost their mind over jofra archer because he bowled in the 140's when he wouldn't get a game for a full strength India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa

that is exactly the case. also what I wrote in the thread earlier. this data is very helpful though. Only Ollie is genuine fast-medium, the rest are barely fast-medium or are outright medium like stevens, the one with the 2nd best avg
