Chandarkant Pandit - GOAT Domestic Coach

age limit + he doesn't like teams full of sooperstars.

And even if he was okay with superstars, it may not work in a superstar-heavy culture. For a domestic coach to work well with the national team, it has to be someone who was a superstar himself as a player. Otherwise, he will try to advise someone on their technique/attitude/work ethic, and the player will just be like "what da eff have you achieved that you are advising me?"

they won’t work in a head coach type role but they can thrive in a  Bharat Arun type role.

Do you seriously think Shastri knew anything about  being a coach ?  He obviously did the man-management part/ motivational speeches

.

efficient people like Chandrakant Pandit should be utilized in any role possible.

bcci's modus operandi is to appoint and promote inefficient people, not efficient ones.

This gives an insight on how domestic coaches operate, Pandit is what people call old school disciplinarian, chadi wala master. Won’t work for senior superstar players.

Read about how he got Prithvi Shaw in line

Would love to see Pandit get a run as 'A' team coach.

Ashutosh Sharma blasts Pandit

Every coach and captain have some likes and dislikes. They are human so they have player they like more than others.

So one guy voicing against a coach should not be big deal unless he is the captain.

He's not the only one though. Multiple players have called out Pandit over the years, and quite recently Narayan Jagadeesan, and David Weise came out against him as well.

Praising is common though and is done formally. People praise Dravid too, does that make him great?

Negative feedback by multiple players is definitely a pointer to something.

Maybe true but I don't think he is ever going to coach India. BTW he is one of the reason India lost 1987 semi finals.

Some moronic selector selected him as batsman.
