Why blame him, his job was to hold one end given middle order inexperience. It was iftkar who should have stepped on gas.

nope, as the marquee player and as the settled player and as the senior player, it was his responsibility. instead, he stat padded his way to a 50 and got out shortly thereafter

India bowled crap even in tests both in SA and England. 2 out 3 tests Indian should won there also. They were down right pathetic there also.

 

Who was the coach in SA. Was it Shastri or Dravid.

 

That is biggest worry I have, under Dravid bowling has gone down hill in all formats.

Rizwan or Babar are not Kohli or Sharma.They never had that ability to hit higher gears. This is the best you can expect from Rizwan. If they don't bat deep Pakistan simply does not have batsman to last 20 overs.

Very good observation.The only thing Asif is good for is hacking from ball one.If he comes off even for 3 or 4 balls, he will change momentum.

then they shouldn't. better to lose going for the kill rather than tuk-tuking and stat padding. the final reminded me of that notorious match where dhongi and jadhav tuk-tuked; but at least we scored around 300 in a 50 over game

That is not their template. They play majority of 20 overs @ 100 to 110 SR and then hacks like Asif come and slog few hits.The days when they come off Pakistan will win like against India. When they don't come off they will lose like today.

 

Only constant is their bowling attack.

Asif is like statue against googly. Bishnoi was toying with him and then the drop catch. Asif ali has no foot movement against good leg spin..

Phastest bowlers got smashed at 8.6 an over when they faced the big boys India and SL in this Asia Cup and 2 games were even low scoring matches. 

 

The only slaps these boys have delivered were to their own fans
