Absolutely - especially given the forecast for the evening. But these days the damn life is run by TV and media.

Even the showers have a rainfall total per hour of 0,01 inch after 8 pm - so a passing shower and the game should happen/conclude. But I agree with you - why take the risk?

Time slots for ads and tickets are pre fixed.  There were articles why star sports did not want dew affected matches in Dubai to start earlier .

Hi @express bowling you always are kind to give me info all the time whenever I ask, many times its obvious and simple info that an Indian in India would know, but I appreciate you always helping me out. Its why I share your enthusiasm with you about upcoming fast bowlers from India, its contagious and gets me excited.

I dont mind admitting I miss the old days of Indian cricket, of SRT, Ganguly,Dravid,Laxman, Kumble, Bhajji but you providing me all the latest info helps me accept the new talent that we have like Pant, Gill, Bumrah etc etc over the years.

Anyways long rant, the above link is from FoxSports, keep the www.foxsports.com.au link as it provides good coverage of the WC in Australia for all teams.

Hi SRT,  thanks for the link.  It will definitely add to our experience of enjoying the WC22.

You are a very balanced poster and I appreciate it a lot.

The best teams are built based on quality and role coverage . If India is a little weak in the former they are dreadful at the latter.

No quality high pace options , no in form high quality wristspinner, no batsman who backs up as a match up spinner (Hooda won't play).

Also no left handers who can take down  left arm spin /wrist spin and even left arm pace.

Dravid and Sharma have done well to inject some intent in the lineup but they just dont have the role coverage quality sides have.

Hopefully, we can learn from that.

Right now I'll take a rained off match and one point

Agree.

While if India was at full strength, I would rather see a game, in terms of us progressing and potentially playing finals and winning the WC, its better for India's chances that this game is abandoned.

Jadeja and Bumrah's injuries screwed the team a lot.

Bumrah is the best death bowler in the world and all the other Indian bowlers perform better in his presence. One great bowler can change fortunes of a team.

Jadeja might not seem indispensable in T20s but he's the best spin batting AR we have got and vital for balance. Can bat at no 4-5 too as a lefty and can easily bowl a couple of economical overs. His fielding is also being missed now.

Bumrah and Jaddu have also performed well down under. Their absence is a massive hole in the team.

I would argue our best two players that are not replaceable for what they are.

One may take it but is that what one wants. Might as well play. If you win great, if not lose and learn something

Very few teams will have all bases covered. Our approach has always been different from raw pace. It's worked well so far. Let the games happen. We will see what works best in this world t20

We wont learn anything if we lose that we already know.

There are too many players in the team that shouldnt be in it.

But among the top 6 teams, we have probably the least role coverage. Agree that covering all bases is tough

But I'd like to see selections in es of looking to find the best players to fit certain roles like England and SA have done. Even Pakistan are doing that a lot more in the last couple of years.

They are there because they have a strength which the team believes on.

It is to be seen whether betting on that strength was a success or failure.

Except off spin , we are covered for every role.

You will find at least one player who can play that role

I'd back Pakistan to win if it was chasing. A few early wickets for Shaheen in the powerplay almost guarantee a low score from India. This game will depend on how well India can play Shaheen's inswingers in his first two overs. He looked top-class against Afghanistan.

only 2 things we are missing is

  • High pace hard length bowler
  • Left handers

All we need to do is use bowlers in right game acc to conditons n oppositions. I have been going through some of it shami can come in handy in some games even chahal
