India vs Pakistan match preview

Although Rain can play spoilsport, let us assume match go the full distance. How will it play out?  Already Sunny is throwing a suggestion both Pant and DK have to play together and use Pandya as 5th bowler? Will that be a viable option or Hooda in place of Ashwin? 

My biggest worry is fielding. Fielding can be the crucial difference in pressure games. India is in such  a helpless situation. Far too many oldies in the line up. Even the younger ones are terrible fielders.

Discussing team Ind’s 11 can be like thinking about patching a torn cloth as if it is going to become new. 
 

No matter what you do - Rohit, KL, Kohli, Bhuvi, Harshal, Arshdeep, Axar, Ashwin/Chahal are expected to be 8 of the 11. 

 

Difficult to rescue the team even with Klusener, Russell, & ABDV in the middle!

If it became a shorterned game due to rain then Indian hitters will have a much better chance instead of Pakistan

It is nothing to do with how good Pakistan is. I don't rate them at all. India can make even poor teams look good like we did against Sri lanka.  There are a few  weak links who can singlehandedly lose matches for you.

Im surprised posters on here are caring so much about this game.

 

It wont happen at all. The match will be abandoned.

 

Weather is bad on both sides of Sunday and the days following.

There will be rain before, during and after the match.

 

Match will be drawn and each side gets 1pt each. Given how bad India's line up is and can be, its not a bad start for us in reality.

I would like it to be rained out after so much of drama for Asia cup. Pakistani are hell bent on proving it's an iconic match, lol if India will play with any test playing nation only in icc tournaments that will also become iconic.

In general Pakistan is a hopeless team in Australia, we might not be at our strongest but should have enough in the tank to crush them on Sunday irrespective of playing conditions and weather/toss factor. 

 

Their batting especially has major weaknesses for those conditions, don't even need to be express fast to expose their lack of backfoot game and inability to play hard length (with ball not bouncing at knee level a la UAE).
