He is in a lose lose situation now against Netherlands. If he scores a 50 he will be mocked If he doesn't score also he will be mocked.  One crucial match, one solid high pressure knock he can make everything go away. Upto him. But if he gets out bowled one more time inside edging, it will get real ugly for him.

I hope he can come out "bindaas" and crush a 20-ball 50 to set up a high total for his team.  That will help his confidence a lot.

KL has bashed minnows many times … Sid that in the last WC too , along with Rohit, while failing against Pak $ NZ

Opening batsmen get an opportunity every match to perform. Atleast 4 matches left, Rahul (should) will eventually show up given this many chances.

KL Rahul’s lack of footwork against quality pace attack was monitored by the eagle-eyed Indian coaching staff during the team’s net session on Monday while an exhausted Hardik Pandya was given a recovery break ahead of the T20 World Cup match against the Netherlands.

Rahul has failed against Pakistan in three of the last four games. Bowlers have decoded that an imaginary fourth off-stump line at a good pace can test him. That’s possibly why Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Harshal Patel were told to bowl outside the off-stump. Rahul wasn’t comfortable on one occasion, having to close the face of his bat. Had it been a match situation, the point fielder would’ve been interested. When Yuzvendra Chahal bowled, Rahul rocked back and pulled against the spin.

lol Quality pace and harshal ?

Just drop him from team. Pant has better chance to play a decent innings in sf/f

Correct.

If anything Pant brings optimism and fearlessness to the side with his approach. Im sure he inspires his team mates with the way he bats without fear.

KL is meek, weak and reminds me of the passive Indians before 2000. KL is the walking wicket.
