Who comes up with these suggestions of two right handed off spinners in a WT20 game vs a top team?

It backfired in Asia Cup when a left handed was batting in middle overs and hence Ashwin bowled his quota there and Hooda didn't even bowled one over which means Pandya has to fill his quota of four overs even though he was getting smashed.

 

Same happened today. If you want to play Hooda then why not drop Ashwin and play Chahal instead? Also, Hooda has mostly been lucky to get into the squad because of his 2 overs of added bowling. He hasn't done much to merit that place.

Which is pathetic, in Aus we needed a quick bowling all rounder & not a spinning all rounder.

 

Selecting a team for Aus based on IPL performances that happens in Asia shows the quality of our selectors & think tank. Either Deepak or Thakur should have played all our games since last WC.

In a Pakistan like situation, I wouldn’t trust Hooda, Axar, DK type players. Dare I say not even Pant. Pant might win you a hopeless game but at the most basic point he might crap it in LOIs. That’s the feel I get.

 

Hooda in Australia wasn’t a good idea to begin with. Hooda in India for 50 over World Cup and then I am on board with that.

They can always "niggle" someone out. NOt like they have not done b efore.  Chahal may never play. He must be very happy he didn't play today.
