Malan actually looks to score runs against us...  For some reason.  I won't mind a leftie out in a pressure game.

Phil Salt is a tulla..  They will play him in middle order lol

Phil Salt is a hit or miss type of batsman.  On his day, he could be very dangerous. I remember he played 1 or 2 match winning innings against Pak last month.   Failed in the remaining.    We need to get him out early.

I don't see any changes in the batting order, specially not after the twin 50's by KL (which must have raised hope of Sharma and Dravid by 100 times).
I won't be surprised if Pant is thrown out of the team and DK is brought back considering the Pandya's struggle to accelerate at the death.

He opened there...  Doesn't looks comfortable in middle order.  Newbie in a pressure game could be tricky.  Let's see though..  Our spinners are proper buffet for him.

They won't bring Willey...  Woakes is their key bowler.  Only change Morgan suggested on SKY was bringing Jordan back instead of injured Malan.

Phli Salt & Jordan have more chance vs Willey.

Butler has to fire for England to have a shot in Adelaide.

Reverse jinxing shuru? Khud NZ jaisi chutiya team k against khel rahe ho, woh bhi Netherlands ki wajah se; sharam kar yaara. England C just beat Pak in Pak.

I have a feeling butler will look to bat throughout, see off initial overs and then pick one bowler to attack . He has done this even this IPL

Bhuvi has a very strong matchup on him and with malan gone he may look to anchor .

Butler also doesnt have a good record in this ground

jordan is someone who if he gets his hard length right can keep pandya in control. With curran pandya can move around the crease although many have tried and failed at that against curran. But that is only for one guy, rest everyone wont have that hard length issue

England focus wud be on kohli specially coz this is his fav ground. Im expecting them to use adil rashid and ben stokes against kohli as both have troubled him in past

In regd to willey, both openers have been tentative against left armers and willey is a good exponent of swing. Against woakes they may not fear stepping down

ye kab hua ???

Vs India

Willey avg 26 and eco 8.10

Woakes avg 43 and eco 10.75

Also what is smart slow bowling ?? He is a swing bowler

I think people remember matches more than stats. Woakes opening spell was the reason England won against India in 2019 WC.

Conventional wisdom suggests Willey is specifically designed selection vs India but he hasn't been in best of form & Woakes is doing well for Eng & sealed a tense win vs SL with the bat.  They have a left armer in Curran...  Using him for 2 overs as the start would also be a case.  Kela looks clueless vs him too.

Overall their bowling would really miss Topley vs us.

Rohit & Rahul hopefully would be aggressive vs Wood & target short square boundaries.

Rashid would be a issue...  SKY Kohli both have their work cut out.

Kohli couldn’t hit Raza and Williams yesterday. He’s very weak against spin, hopefully Sky and Hardik gets behind Rashid and Ali

Before world T20 we thought bowling was our weakness. SO FAR It has helt its own. Batting is a let down. Rohit is a no show. Even against Holland he had a life. Basically 4 flop matches.

Curran is a bit of a worry on this track as his cutters will grip into the pitch.

But overall I think this is one game where each batter shall look to score big runs.
