Maybe due to the large boundaries, play 5 seamers including Harshal instead of Axar.

We don’t have any choice for DK pant Hardik.  These are not in form and our lower middle order is not clicking.  
Rohit is big concern.  The only thing our team depends on from top four 2 survive and play until 18 over.  I think that it is doable because the pitch is okay bounce for semi.

Adelaide boundaries are among the shortest in Australia.

Axar has struggled. Pitches might support a tall pacer better. 

 

Harshal can also bat and is a safe fielder.

Axar is not working in these conditions, seamers are doing decent so may be try Harshal, I know he is probably the weakest seamer.

 

Or give Y Chahal a game but batting will be weaker.

Yes this should be the only change. DK and Pant are pretty much the same in terms of output but at least Pant is a million times better than DK with the gloves. Can’t afford a crucial missed stumping/catch with our already frail spin bowling. Harshal for Axar makes sense since most of the English batters are lefties + Harshal provides much more confidence with the bat. In an ideal scenario though Harshal would be niggled out for Thakur

Get Axar niggled out and play S Thakur he is one of the reserves along with M Siraj.

India needs to tackle Adil Rashid, Pant in the middle will be a threat for them considering ground dimensions. 

Play Pant as Wk and DK as a batsman in place of Axar.

Hardik needs to bowl 4 overs, too much of mollycuddling is not desirable isn't it.

Ash will play.. traditional thinking Malan and stokes lefties .. I am afraid India will get tonked by butler and hales in small square boundary… best chance for rohit to score , kl is going to fail .. vk will be rashid’s bunny ..

Would strengthen the batting at possible costs .. Axar and Pant not going anywhere with Rashid threat … if Eng play first India will chase 200 total with our bowling .. comes down to our batting against wood and rashid … need rohit to fire for sure .. kl will fail ..

DK and Pant both in , drop Axar and ask Pandu to bowl 5 overs without nautanki. No other option. Need batting and pace option . KL is bound to fail and Sky can’t strike in all matches with fail trying to up the ante. MO will be doomed if there is one less batsman

Honestly will play takur in place of DK .. if we go this way .. atleast Takur will give it nice tonk…

apart from axar none of our bowlers have leaked above 8 , well done and Axar is our 6th bowler in these conditons .

Harshal for Axar will be a safe bet for the Shahs. As GUJ election dates are already announced and dropping a Patel could give chance to desperate Kejri cry foul, best is to swap one Patel by the other.

So far the weakest bowling performance has been in Adelaide and how do you think TM will address it? Ring in Harshal for Axar ? Do We need 6 th bowler cushion for sure and take a huge risk with 5 bowlers and pad more batting. I feel Sky is bound for a failure in a big match.
