Right arm medium pace which is not easy to hit from word go. He has 13 fc wickets and most of them in dead maharashtra pitches. He can be an useful 2 over bowler. You just need to take a punt. We have found replacement for all past players more or less for india but we unfortunately till today havent found a replacement for Ganguly who used to bowl medium pace and who opened test bowling as well.. 100 odi wickets he had. What will we give today for a player like him in odis.. so tripathi should definitely bowl.. tweaker 1 Link to comment

Wasnt aware he bowls medium pace..is he accurate and better than Venky Iyer/Shivam Dubey/Vijay Shankar or like them only.. Link to comment

Even of he bowls 50 percent of the above mentioned he can be used as a buffer. Always good to have options due to injury and in windies abrasive pitches it helps to have a medium pacer.. samuel badris whole career was based on bowling fastish spin as well as dwayne bravos Need4Speed 1 Link to comment

Has to look to rotate strike if its not working nitinbwj 1 Link to comment

Ball doesn't moves there & hacks like Tripathi are very useful there. But needs to calm down a bit he looks too fidgety &nervous. More than even DK lol nitinbwj and SRT100 2 Link to comment

Last match he swiped and missed 5 times He is like current Jason Roy version... Glaring weakness but if he comes off will be destructive. But Roy has a stable base & doesn't moves around that much like Tripathi. A low ceiling player but destructive on conducive conditions. His spin play is good as well. But he isn't half the player Shaw is... Or even Patidar. But deserves to play all 3 games. He was exposed in tour games with T20 blast teams back during Eng tour tho. Lord 1 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Today he looked okay. But too much premeditation like SKY. Wanna be SKY? He has to play normal shots. Lord 1 Link to comment
