Best squad to tour here since 2012 Eng. Even 2015 RSA was solid on paper but on its last legs.

Will happily take a drawn series against this monster squad. No high hopes looking at the state of our top 4.....Pant's absence makes visitors clear favorites. As long as he was available I thought we could somehow draw it or maybe even edge them 2-1. 

 

Btw what is the status of Jaddu's fitness?

Look at the insane selection in first ODI, dropping Ishan/SKY, playing Chahal over Kuldeep/Sundar!!!!! Forget dummy selction panel, Rohit and Dravid are easily the two most corrupt people in their positions, in the history of Indian cricket.

 

Fully expect more dirty selection politics under this regime....they will play Undercutter but not Kuldeep in BGT. And Sundar won't get a single game.

Jaddu/Ashwin/Kuldeep. Sundar can play as specialist batsman in our XI, but doubt that's going to happen.

I rate our triple threat of Ash, Axar and Jaddu + Sundar over Australia's spin options.

 

However Australia's batsmen are clearly ahead of ours.

 

Blowing up the pitches, ensures a result. India needs a result, it wont make the WTC Final with a drawn series.

 

Australia will play very dirty to win this series, they will claim catches that are grassed, verbally abuse and try and "mentally disintegrate" our players like Steve Waugh used to do.

Really need Fatman to become a Ganguly and tactically piss off the Australians and upset their rhythm. Problem is why have too many old, docile, weak, meek, fragile old Uncles.

Yes I love an attack of this, our bowlers can win the series for us. Not to mention our bowlers are capable of more runs than Australia's bowlers and a few of their suspect batsmen.

Lol why even play lol ? If we play with this defeatist mentality we will never win. We went to Australia and won twice. We have our spinners Jaddu , axar and ashwin. Australians are ok against spin we know our conditions the only problem is our batsmen need to play their spinners better.

Mentally disintegrate never worked against us. We won twice in Australia recently it will be a hard fought series for sure.  We do have the upper hand.

There is nothing monster about this squad. The batting line up when they toured in 2017 was good,too ...Smith was at his peak. Handscomb, Maxi contributed,too. Labuschagne is good addition this time.

 

We are just **** scard because our batting line up is pathetic and we dont have Pant and even in bowling we will not play our best Bowlers thanks to brain-dead TM-capatin-coach...

Good squad but we are overrating them. Sure our top 4 batsman might not be in best form but our lower middle order and bowling attack is our strongest point. If we play Ashwin, Jadeja/Axar, Sundar then batting & bowling both are great. Siraj, Umesh & Shami are any day better than cummins and hazelwood in these conditions. Even England whitewashed SL in SL and Pak in pak but when they come in india they look club level team. Aus had to sweat to win one match in pak and lost one in SL too. Decent squad but bowling is weak link specially spinners including lyon. At best i think they will win/draw one test. I think they have better chance in WTC finals cause of conditions.

I do agree with a lot of that, but we have walking wickets and players that struggle to score but bat all day like Pujara.

 

Fatman struggles in Test to go big, Kohli gets out to any bowler remotely turning it. Pujara will score 30 off 200 balls.

With Pant out, its a massive hole. Iyer is the big key here, not to mention our batting ability of our bowlers like Ash, Jaddu and Axar.

 

We must play to our strengths and blow up the pitches for Australia.
