Can see why Aussie media doesn't like Cummins much.   Guy is practically polar opposite of previous captains.

secondly Aus gave us roads where pant scored 25 runs in an over to score 100. Vihari scored a hundred in a practice matche. India offered them practice matches but they declined. Their shithousery was asking for a used pitch where they had 2 chances to bat and failed.

Again this is what we do to them as well...  Give them flat pitches when they tour. 

 

But this was a dick move totally.  Can't defend this sorry.  Again this is on state Association not BCCI.  I bet BCCI won't do something like this to a big ticket team like Aus...  Or heck anyone.

England aren't our main rivals. Not sure why we even bother playing 5 tests there when they only play 4 if they tour india. 

 

Ashes being 5 tests is fine. We don't have any reason to play 5 in englund.

Sounds like they deserve it. We dint exactly get bouncy pitches to practice on when we toured Australia. Not to mention poor accommodation during quarantine. They can go cry to their mommas in England.

But this is highly unusual.   Teams are very much allowed to do this in the past.  

Its not a favor but a general practice. 

Aussies gave us two practice games (including D/N one) & unreal relaxations including coming with family in peak Pandemic. 

 

This I am expecting is not BCCI but State Association's fault. 

If CA Pushes for this I expect BCCI to take action on Incompetent staff. 

Either they should not have allowed Aus to practice in the first place... But they did & failed on their promise. 

2 practice games on those roads with no bounce? Might as well play in Pakistan then. 

 

Even pomies salah lowdas do the same. They make us play t20 and odi before tests.

Agree with everything except the doctored pitch Part.  Indian pitches aid spin... 

Pitch doctoring is associated with Saffers & Kiwis who make green mambas for Subcontinent teams but make decent flat pitches when Gora teams tour. 

 

Your other points are spot on though.  It's unlikely we Indians will ever understand sports.

Think they should have just said no instead of first saying yes and then watering the pitch overnight which has caused the issue. Not sure if pitch curators had talks with team management or someone from bcci officials.

What are the protocols here ?- Are teams allowed to practice on same pitches when the day/match is over.

if yes then Aus team should be allowed to practice if no then whats the fuzz, also whats the protocols for ground staff ?? Are they required to water the pitch after the match is over then why the Fuzz ?? 

 

Aus team might have asked the board but Ground staff may not be aware of this, was the news relayed to the ground staff ?

 

There are so many ifs here why Aus Media are grilling Ground staff over this ??

Supporting spin is fine but India has a history of producing rank turners (which is not remotely close to sporting cricket). For e.g. after India lost the series to Aus at home in 2004/5, it turned Mumbai into a rank turner in a desperate attempt to win a test in the series - Link

Rank turners are prepared by leaving the pitch unprepared or selective preparation.

What doctored pitch are you talking about ? We scored 400. Australia struggled to cross 200 and 100 in both innings. When we tour we get green pitches in England , South Africa and NZ. Bouncy pitches in Australia. Where were your arguments at that time ?
