From what i observed they succumbed to their own mind game. the way Smith giving thumbs up to Ravi jadeja's orthodox spinning deliveries clearly indicated the uncertainty of their mindset.  Just like in England when you get beaten you are told to put that away and concentrate on next delivery, you do the same in India. You play the line and  be prepared to miss it. This is a basic rule against spin. But they didn't do that. Before KL Hahul becoming a dud played a remarkable innings agianst Australia scoring 64 out of a total of 100 odd. There was one innings where pujara made a 100.Those trakcs were unplayable This is nothing like it. It is matter of not being able to adapt immediately after playing on roads in Australia. May be give them a match or two they will find a way to cope with it.

Completely agree with this. On a slow, low turner, the spinners need to have skill to take wickets because the turn can be negotiated by batsmen who have assured footwork by either stepping out to smother the turn or by going back and playing the ball late because it is slow off the pitch.

 

The Nagpur pitch was one of the easier pitches we have seen in India over the last few years, but the Aussies have no clue how to play when the ball deviates laterally. They will be similarly at sea when they tour England for the Ashes when the ball seams. They are flat track bullies who can only play on the roads they roll out in Australia these days.

Ya i know that but my point was that a graph which shows degree of turn alone is not that useful in knowing how challenging the surface was.

That was just to show this is not a "rank turner" where ball turns square. Gabba had more bite and turn than this on day 5. Remember how one of the ball from Lyon went to first slip after pitching

That Gabba surface had big cracks on day 5 which aided both the quicks and Lyon. It was treacherous to bat on the last day which makes Pant's innings all the more remarkable.

In general Aussies don't doctor their wickets, most are fairly predictable irrespective of who the visitors are.

 

NZ, RSA, Eng do doctor the **** out of their pitches keeping opponents in mind. Can't even hide behind the excuse of weather. RSA will gave Eng bone dry pitches and for Asian sides even during drought years one can't differentiate between the pitch and outfield. NZ very blatant with these things, Eng too indulge in pitch designing but Sky propoganda team downplays these things tactfully. Now in Bazball era you will see different kind of pitches.

 

Asian countries toh faltu mein hi badnaam hai. Apart from Australia and WI (do they even care about test results now?) every country is similar in this regard.

Indeed NZ & SA are on another level though especially when India tours.  Worst is reserved for us. 

Aussies pitches in past 3 tours have been consistent. 

Apart from Perth 2018 which was he first test at new Venue even the recent Ashes test was similar. 

At least there is consistency wrt all sides.  Not selective targeting.

looks like you don't understand cricket (or sports). Green pitches arent doctored, only turners are
