zen Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 As we know in IPL, it is extremely difficult to win back-to-back titles. So far only two teams have done it: CSK in 2010-11 and MI in 2019-20. For a change, GT, only in its 2nd season, appears to be a team with the potential to win 2 back to back titles as: Sir Don Pandya & Ashish Nehra are a magical combination. They can beat the odds. Many of its players are displaying good form: Shami has hit a good rhythm. Willionsom is suddenly hot in form, hitting 100s after 100s. Gill is continuing his good run since the last IPL. Add players such as Miller, Tewatia, Rashid, etc., who would be seeking to have another good season. GT has added Odean Smith & Mavi to the mix as well. These two did not have a memorable last season but under GT, they can look forward to some good games. Players like Saha (probably one or two more seasons left), Abhinav, Sai Sudarshan, Sai Kishore, Yash Dayal, etc. will be seeking to make a mark too. GT plays a brand of cricket where the team can win in any situation. Can the Wolves make it 2 titles in a row? Which teams, if any, are major threats? Mariyam 1

nevada Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Gill is in beast mode now, it's a huge help for GT. They have Tewatiya and Miller(when he joins the team)to ace tough chases. Hardik's captaincy has worked well for them last season and can work this year as well. They are very much capable of winning the title this year.
