Trundlers Premiere League

Contrary to slow pitch theory- If some1 take a look at top wkt takers till last week were mostly the fast bowler.

And not the trundler kind, bowler with good pace have been getting wkts- Siraj (who is bowling his fastest consistently  not just 1/2 ball per match), Tushar probably bowling his fastest, Shami, Pathirana all are fairly quick.

Only starting from last/this week there has been a rise of spinners(mostly leg spinner who are normally huge wkt taker in T20s anyways) and pace change bowlers.

Most of the 130s bowlers are going for runs or unable to pick wkts

KKR bowling looks a step-up with Harshit Rana.

Last phase of IPL will support spinners due to aging and natural wear and tear of the pitches which is expected after 7/8 matches.

Yes, True. But they are still getting regular game time for their teams.
And that is a bummer.
Bhuvi, Natrajan, Avesh, Harshal, Khaleel, Sandeep, Mohit, Mukesh, Yash Thakur, KM Asif

The tired pitches have enabled these bowlers to deliver few 'safe spells' without impacting the game.

When was the last time  Bhuvi won the game with new ball or bowl two prefect death overs. Never.
He is just doing his usual 1/34 (4) in most of his matches despite having 10 years of experience.

Natrajan is yet another 'safe' bowler who can never create an impact in a game. He can bowl in death but teams has figured him out.
Again he is the sort of 1/38(4) sort of guy who will keep doing his stuff without making anybody excited.

Sandeep is again a safe kind of bowler. Gives a safe non threatening spell of 30 in 4 overs but have no skills to take wickets unless batsman starts attacking him.

Harshal and Avesh are premium level frauds. They are so incompetent that despite of tired pitches in later half, they are still going  10 runs per over.

Shami bowled beautifully and what is expected from leading India fast bowler.
3/16(3), Broke the game.

In contrast Bhuvi  (10 year experienced bowler) got a cheap 5-fer at backend of inning when batsman were slogging for everything.
5/30(4), Picked wickets when damage was already done.

This is exactly the modus of operands for Bhuvi.
Just keep doing minimum, pick up cheap wickets here and there and keep himself away from scrutiny.
If you ask me , he is no better than any other rookie even though he should be a leader of SRH attack.

People are already crying to have Boobie Jadeja Ashwin in 2024 T20 WC...  Cricketing IQ in this country is in deep trenches for a reason.

Piyush chawla is outbowling every current spinners with more impact wickets.

Spinners get better with age but Ashwin has regressed...  And Jadeja is still okay with the ball but his LOI batting is just pathetic.

Khaleel has everything going for him- Good height, Rhythmic run-up and action. Not sure why can not he work on his speeds and apply brains to take wkts.

He is among those Ind players who one sees and ask why was he selected.

Avesh was backed by Ind TM and rated v.highly and nt a single season down he looks mid-level player. Gambhir during Aisa cup commentary mentioned that looks like Ind Team has asked to cut down on pace as he was hardly touching 140s, same question should be asked to LSG TM if they are asking Avesh to cut on pace or if Avesh is not as fast as he was deemed or marketed to be.

Mukesh Kumar's selection into Ind team is total surprise, a set-up who talks about a 150 kmph bowler being raw and not ready as if they have many like him. Ind for the first time has a genuine express bowler but they think he is not ready.

On the other hand Mukesh Kumar's selection into test then ODIs and T20s is never contested, not sure if he is intl. quality nothing special abt him.
