It just shows 371 are lot of runs. Indian bowlers bowled without any plan, they made 371 look like 171 without any control on runrate giving so many freebies to both Root and Johnny.

NZ got whitewashed 3-0 before that series too. Did Williamson as captain make poor calls and plan? England is making pitches which helps you chase big total and bazball works in such situation.

Did they chase 378, any chase over 350 in 4th innings is on bowling team. You need to just shut out boundaries like Aussies did after lunch then there will be no bazball.It is not easy to score runs when you have field spread all over to prevent boundaries.

 

You need to take chance to score runs in that scenario. Indians kept field up and kept leaking boundaries to score 376 in 76.4 was idiotic and brainless bowling of highest order.

 

Since when Williamson became a great captain.
