no, ECB is effectively run by Stokes now, who has said that Andie can pick whenever he wants to retire. with Bazball they can carry 2-3 passengers. in this Ashes, Moeen was adequate with bat and poor with ball; Andie was poor with ball; and Bairstow has been poor with keeping.

They are doing well after two tests because of Chris Woakes and Mark Wood, not because of bazball. Both combined have 28 wickets at 19.

Agreed. Australia's plan to wear out the English seamers was working and Ollie was losing pace and efficacy. And they quickly brought Wood and Woakes in to freshen the attack and increase batting depth. So, instead of facing a tired attack in the 3rd Test they came up against fresh high-quality bowlers.

Meanwhile, Cummins bowled himself to exhaustion while Neser sat on the bench.
