MLC is exciting than the hundred or BBL

Can't wait for the MLC to expand and establish itself as a proper T20 league.  I am driving down 8 hours this weekend to catch one of the games live - an 'I was there' moment for the 1st season of the MLC.  My daughter is a budding cricket fan and it will be her first time at a 'live' cricket game.  I'm hoping its a good experience and one that builds her interest.

The series in New Zealand will be South Africa's second engagement of the 2023-2025 World Test Championship cycle, during which they will only play two-Test series. It is understood that there are serious concerns within CSA of the quality of the squad South Africa will be able to send to New Zealand but no suggestion that they will forfeit entirely. On Wednesday, CSA CEO Pholetsi Moseki told ESPNcricinfo the organisation was mindful of their bilateral obligations, while also stressing that the SA20 takes first priority.

This the first sign that international cricket will cease to exist as we know in the near future. Every country will not prioritise their T20 league which- this one mainly is due to IPL owners wanting SA stars at all costs to play in the t20 tournament at the expense of national duty which means CSA will play ball

People are looking at this wrong way IMO. Countries should be able to find more than eleven players to play for their country. If first choice is not wanting to play then second choice should be able to play.

You cannot blame owners wanting best marketable players to play.

Unless other boards have a dedicated window in the year for ALL players of theirs to play in their own league like India does, then is it not unfair to send B players to NZ to play tests and not give them a chance to play in the SAT20 league? Those B players may not even be good enough to play Tests. Because there isnt dedicated windows and if T20 league takes precedent, then the quality of international matches will just downgrade

How can they have a dedicated window. England, Australia and SouthAfrica play cricket during their summer. They have to fit international cricket and these t20 leagues plus satisfy ICC's growing greed to host world tournaments every year.

I have lost on how many bloody t20 world cups have been played so far since 2007.

My belief is quality of cricket may go down initially for series or two but then replacements will do just fine. If B players have to play test cricket then so be it.
