needs to up his pace by 4-5 kph on average. otherwise, he has control, bounce, and some swing.

Bounce is noticable....

Kaversppa delivers the ball ftom a high release point with an open chested action and gets bounce and seam movement.

I think he will clock 130 k to 135 k on international cricket speed guns.

If he can up his pace by 5 kph to 135 to 140 k, he can be a fine bowler.

India is full of rubbish batsmen who can't handle his 126-129k thunderbolts.

All our fast bowlers dont get picked.

Our best young talents in batting aren't debuted early.

we have a lot of internal issues.

Pakistan debuts their bowlers early which is great.

I'd like to see both a side-on and a WK of his run up and bowling action. Does he have a very flexible wrist and/or significant hyperextension to put back spin and create a large arm path and is there any improvement that can be made in terms of alignment etc?

That arm flinging at release point reminds me of Sreesanth. But for the effort he puts at the time of loading i would expect more speed. Sreesanth used to clock 135 kph consistently. But Sreesanth had a genuine sprint with long strides. Kavarappa has scope for improvement with respect to running.

He doesn't have outswing from what I have seen. Very difficult for such bowlers to survive.

not much pace either, as this thread has been saying

Will be around 135 k.

on a good day. otherwise, he will be 132 or so - trundler territory. let's hope he does not get selected before adding some pace

Domestic speed guns are not reliable at all.

I will love it if he adds pace though.

But still better than Mukesh and Co.

it's not about domestic speed guns alone... he is not of the caliber of prasidh, kuldeep sen, who should be in the team ahead of him.

if kaverappa is selected on eng pitches seen in the ashes, he will get destroyed. he looks sub-boland level to me, and we saw how boland got treated

So what will Mukesh and Unadkat achieve as main seamers ?
