mani sha
Given india Bangla is a dead rubber - use part time offspin of gill rest rohit and Kohli . Give sky a game use Ayer of fit to bowl or give debut to tilak rest jadeja and make axar bowl . He needs to flight the ball . rest hardick and get shardul at 6 rest bumrah and siraj , get game for krishna and Shami we are shaping up well . But need to have an offspin bowling option too and need to give sky , shardul etc more batting adi B and tapandrun 2 Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Off spin pretty much anyone can bowl. Not sure why none of the bozos at the top try it. Link to comment

Unsure but feel they make more money and are not interested in having a second skill . the onus is always about bowlers to bat better . It’s unclear why they can’t bowl off spin . Link to comment
Zero_Unit
I would still play Kohli. He still needs to get his form back. His form has been up and down and if we want to win the WC, he needs to be in perfect flow Link to comment

DK explained the "reasons" on cricbuzz 1. 2 new balls rule 2. Only 4 fielders during 11-40 overs 3. As they don't bowl in matches, not worth it to spend time 4. Too much cricket, one niggle and you're gone from radar..so why risk it I think he doesn't know about Markram, Maxwell. He kept mum on Asalanka and bypassed that topic. Bhogle also jumped in, supporting the superstars. vvvslaxman 1 Link to comment

Aren't these guys affected by these same rules? Kuch bhi. The 3rd point that DK said should serve to remind us how entitled the batsmen - Rohit, Kohli, Gill, SKY, Iyer those who have no secondary skills whatsoever - are. Kohli can't even catch properly! SKY can't even make the XI - why can't he work on his off spin in the meantime and make himself useful and add to the squad depth? Our fans hate on KL and Hardik way too much. At least they are willing to take up those secondary skills unlike these entitled guys. Link to comment

The more innings he plays...better he will get. Same is the case with Rohit Sharma. Both of them rested in half of West Indies tour and ofcourse didnt go to Ireland. Why rest again? Play all matches till world cup and then retire and rest. Pandya should be rested as we all know he has back issues. Actually I would also rest him in Australia series and bring back only during WC warm games. He is too precious a player and we need a fit Pandya in world cup. Bumrah should rest as well and will straight away swap with Shami. Siraj..can play but if he want to rest...then also fine. And we do not try to bring in players who have potential to be all rounders early .. tilak - has not been given any bowling hooda - discarded Arjun , u19 allrounders - no pathway to getting them in or developing them I hope and pray that the divas retire . Kohli , Rohit will not Win icc tournaments . Link to comment

He has had loads of match practise . sky needs to find his groove . Bumrah , yadav and sky are our three X factor players .. all three firing with support from our all rounders - pandya , jadeja is the only way I see us wining the world cup oppostion isn’t afraid of rahul , Ayer or even Kohli . Ben stokes smashed a 90 ball 170 . Whom do u think he will be worried about ? sky and maybe new rohit ( aggressive from ball one ) Link to comment

Can't risk having him play in the WC right away. He got a brief game in between but that's barely enough Link to comment
Vijy
I wish we had made Iyer and SKY bowl in some of the matches they played in the last 1 year. Ro-Ko are too old to resume bowling, so it should have been these 2 who were asked to bowl. Link to comment
