Nazir was dropped 10 years ago after repetitive failures and hasn't played or picked up cricket bat in ages due to arthritis and other niggles. Let me elaborate how useless the overall record argument is by using the India-West Indies example. Here's the H2H record for Ind-WI odis...

Overall WI still leads India by a margin of 60-53 but who really cares? Does it mean we should bring in WI for a few series just for a meaningless stat? I say Hell no! We should be playing likes of Aus, SA and Eng and improve. For other teams I would prefer to rest our starters and give chances to our fringe players to increase our bench strength.

 

I mean what does Pak playing and winning against WI, Zim etc. get them other than a meaningless T20 streak or useless stats for their players like Shehzad or Babar Azam. And when it really counts they are shown up in front of the world how poor they actually are. No thanks, i would live in the present and work towards the future than look at the past for some meaningless stats. I guess that's why Pak are so poor in big tourneys whereas India turned the corner over the last decade or so and my siggy is proof of the same
