It drains you completely, even if recover it takes atleast 8-10 days to even gain full strength for normal work..forget about batting & fielding 50 overs which involves lot of focus and running. Exactly his endurance and aerobic capacity would have taken a major hit. Im sure his strength is not at 100% either. This will also be exacerbated by the fact that this will be highly stressed, adrenaline charged environment. Rohit is extremely data driven so he will definitely chose to field first and Babar would probably never dare to put us in again after what happened in Colombo.. So the blueprint should be to restrict them to below 260 (if England could get 280 , no way Paxtan are crossing that against our bowling attack) and chase it under lights. Once again, if we get through the initial 6 over phase, it should be smooth sailing from there on. Probably a 6 or 7 wicket win. sage 1 Link to comment

But great rivalries are better when both teams are decent, and although the losses are crushing the wins are even sweeter knowing they thought they could win. Results of meaningless bilaterals played decades ago hv no relevance with these high intensity tournaments like WC. If we go through head to head odi record, SA hv superior record over every other team (incl Aus) since ages. By that logic, SA should hv been winning every WC till now.
