Also, virat scored 286 runs in 4 innings in this phase while rachin scored 203 runs in 3 innings (at + 33 sr, mind you) in the same phase. So about the same runs per innings at a significantly lesser sr but hey, atleast we'll take them because we have no other option 

He batted first in Kolkotta, so what do you expect him to do score at 200 SR on the pitch.

 

Rachin had great tournament, don't compare him with Kohli .

 

Kohli does not need do anything different, he is what odi batting is all about.

 

Again in your quest to prove something which is not there, you are forgetting one main thing, how many diiferent venues NZ has batted and how many venues India has played.

This is the problem. You deflect and get 100 different filters to justify that nonsensical hype the "virat is what odi batting is all about". It is really not. If your team has greatest bowling attack for the conditions, sure play whatever the way that suits you since you have that luxury but don't pretend that a better way is impossible when there's clear evidence to the contrary

India has to bat like India has been batting for a whle. THey don't have to bat like Australia, South Africa anyone else.  Every one of them is playing pure cricketing shot and getting big totals.
