Don't get fooled by this hitting by Ritu. Whenever Behrendoff and Ellis changed the pace, they had no answer. 12 runs off 12 balls by these 2 before that Hardie over. Tilak hasn't been impressive at all.

Some atrocious bowling. Anyway Gaikwad is good fringe player

He has some positives. I won't deny that. But he is not suitable for T20 as there is no guarantee that he will finish well in every game. But he is a bit more reliable than Kishan.

Gaekwad does have an extra gear.

He is a six hitter. HIs strike rate in List A is over 100. There was one season his strike rate was around 120 in LIstA. So he can come into the ODI side.

Gaikwad is a good backup opener to have. He does accelerate rapidly once set. Consumes lot of balls upfront. The issue like always is if you get out after using up balls, the team goes nowhere. Unless he plays very consistently with good overall strike rate when he gets a chance, India should keep him as a backup only who plays on rotation.

Tilak is clueless agianst slower ones. I have to say even Rishabh Pant has this issue. Wide slower balls. That is why his T20 career never took off

They bowled 6 slower balls to him back to back. He had no clue.
