Few Gill supporters who are left are from his state, regionalist folks like Yuvraj and Harbhajan. Or fans of the useless nepo brigade of Bollywood because that's the crowd this lukkha Gill hangs out with. Anyway don't waste your time/energy arguing with the useless lot. Generational talent my ass. Number, Frustrated and Vijy 1 2 Link to comment

Alok Kapali, that Bangla guy from 2000s was an upgrade over Gill. #3 and #4 are positions where your best players play, and we have this useless Gill, no wonder our test team is in free fall. Frustrated
I knew Gill was a FTB & a minnow basher at best. But here the blame goes to Vada Pav and TM. When most cricket fans can easily realise that Gill has always been below par in tests, why keep picking him again and again?? Who is forcing rohit to play this FTB over Sarfaraz? Why does Vada Pav want to earn a bad image as captain , that too at home? Edited February 2 by Frustrated Gollum 1 Link to comment
Gollum
Whole world is laughing at Gill, and we keep making clowns of ourselves by not kicking him out. In the past we at least used to back quality players. KL was a downgrade but even he offers more upside than Gill. Edited February 2 by Gollum Frustrated 1 Link to comment

Gollum
If we take a massive first innings lead, Gill may score a soft 30 or 40. Same if Eng takes a huge lead and we are in a hopeless situation. However if match is on the line next time Gill comes to bat, expect single digit score. Boy isn't a fighter. sensible-indian 1 Link to comment

Indian cricket is pretty much controlled by them now since the Kohli Era. More deserving players are side tracked for these Insta chapris. Number and Frustrated 2 Link to comment

Does GIll has that ability. Gollum and Frustrated 2 Link to comment
Gollum
BGT 4th test harmed Indian cricket so much. Showed psychological vulnerability against Aussies after Indore test loss. They latched on to that in two ICC finals. Gill scoring that meaningless 100, otherwise his record would look so much worse. KS Bharat scoring 40 odd including few 6s against Lyon, booked his spot after being dismal in the earlier tests. Took sheen off BGT, and exposed Indian cricket to ridicule in terms of pitch doctoring. Link to comment

The Hound
Funny how Shaw was made a scapegoat of that 36 all out and hasn't played a test since while this guy averages 29 in 20+ tests and still is a permanent member of the playing XI Gollum 1 Link to comment

adi B
I said it before as well ,this Guy has a loose technique and a laid-back attitude. Unless he focuses heavily on his technique and tightens it up ,he'll struggle . 31 test matches already ,not even an iota of improvement. Can't play spin ,can't play the incoming delivery ,can't play outgoing balls (always edges them) ,this guy is slowly becoming a recipe for a disaster Frustrated 1 Link to comment
The Realist
Shubman Gill, now, is one of only three Indian batters in Test history to bat more than 30 times in the top 4 and average less than 30. The other two are Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Anshuman Gaekwad. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Frontfoot plonker. He just plants his frontfoot then decides what to do. If we strictly talk about against spin he won't even be in the top 25 list of current Indian batsmen. Link to comment
Number
Temperamental issue is his biggest enemy. All these insta stars spend so much time on phone, they have an attention span of a fish. On the tracks like today, even with half decent technique he could survive if he knew how to see off critical spells. Edited February 2 by Number Link to comment
