Despite all the options smart money is on us going into the wc with an underpowered batting Line up. We have decent options now tbh.

You need the next gen. of white ball cricketers to play as much cricket as possible before 2027 South Africa. 

 

Gill and Jaiswal should be a well oiled opening duo by then.

More than decent.  Our white ball batting talent has never had as much quality and depth. 

 

Need to invest in them for 4 years instead of hurriedly searching for batting positions 3 months before the World Cup and using guess work to select the likes of SKY at #6.

 

Everything else can be forgiven in the last decade but losing the 2023 World Cup stings the most. 

 

If they had planned from 2019, it was ours for the taking.

Gill and Rohit cannot open FFS. Need Jaiswal and i dont care who you drop. Same goes for Rinku. He has to play. I will drop that fukin phony chhapri for Dube.

Just two months ago, our WC squad was filled with right handers. Now, except for Rohit and Kohli, and the stop gap keeper, everybody in the top 9 is a left hand batsman. 

 

Bring in practical replacements - Pant or Kishan for Jitesh, Sai and Padikkal for Rohit and Kohli, and Kuldeep for Bishnoi, we can almost play XI lefties.
