Which is why it is always better to back hitters in those positions and back the Top 7 to bowl a few overs.  Than looking to plug the bowling. 

 

4 bowlers are enough in LOI cricket. But for the past decade , India has consistently gone away from that balance and no ICC trophy in that decade.

 

The 2 teams that are looking to stack the batting until #7 are Australia and West Indies with Wade and Russell/Shepherd coming in at #7.

 

Imo OZ are favourites and West Indies are going to surprise a few especially because they are playing at home.

NZ have not lost a series at home since 2017. That's a great record for the Kiwis.

we will have Jadeja at #7..and now compare the #7 of top teams..even their #8 may have better SRs as compared to Jadeja..thats where we will lose finishing touches..batting first or chasing..

India bullied him in 2018. Only after that somehow they forgot how to bowl to him. He is like grant elliot. Or a gambir. Good player who plays out of his skin vs spcific opponents in wc events but ultimately fails vs other sides

Cos we didn't test him enough with bouncers and that corridor for lefties which he too has

He was a rabbit in our last series in Australia

Rohit and co with Dravid just didn't work or want to that extra yard which most timk tanks do, on him despite having a fair look at him

Siraj used to bowl beautiful lines to him top of off of his on our last tour to Aus but completely forgot thereafter ,there were no bowling plans for him which India has been accused of , historically for certain impact players

This is a good comeback by Aus...  Can't help but wonder their batting unit looks very iffy to me.

India would be very much in it this year against them. 

Ofc the bowling unit is what makes them tick but Indians have historically thrashed Starc in Australia.   

 

If we do miraculously win at Perth... Or the D/N game..  MCG and SCG have always been friendly to us the final two tests being played there.

NZ and Pakistan are 2 sides that Aussies win against even before the matches are scheduled.

I see the NZers have let the advantage go here as well, this is a garden pitch and they needed to restrict Aussies under 200. Hazlewood will be unplayable here.
