Will this World T20 be a humiliation for India just like 2021?

India is not a very good T20 side anyway with impactless old men almost certain to make he squad, lack of batting allrounders and depth etc.

 

But considering that we have the World T20 only 5 days after a 2 month long IPL would mean they are all exhausted and they'll be up against a relatively fresh Pakistan .

 

This is just like 2021. Long IPL followed by World T20 in the UAE

Select young blood and they may surprise. 

 

Fill this team with Jadeja, Kela, DK, Bhuvi, Harshal, Mohit etc. and even Ireland will start as favorites against us. 

 

With Dravid and Rohit at the helm, I expect the worst.

Yes, as long as we keep selecting players based on IPL we will lose.

 

Its not a coincidence that we haven’t won one t20 world cup since ipls inception.

The Indian batting and fielding is guaranteed to be sub par if they continue the trend of sticking with an older squad. The only hope is if the bowling is packed with out and out bowlers ( Bumrah and Kuldeep eg) and avoids 120 kph trundlers like arshdeep,thakur etc at any cost

Problem is we needed at least 4-5 T20s before the T20 WC to iron out the chinks. 

Scheduling has been s**t.  

They should have found a way to play few more games. 

Now we have no choice but to make a team based on IPL form. 

 

Bowling attack is looking toothless and bare atm.  Ffs I wish we don't select Fraudeja....  Biggest con man to ever don a India shirt.

Hope Bumrah does not buckle under pressure this time like he has done in many matches and Kuldeep does something for change in important matches he was a complete no show in world cup finals.

Logic 1 : Young team won us only WT20

 

Logic 2 : Seniors have tried and have nothing to show for. No point repeating same ideology.

 

It will hurt but not as much as transition is important too.

It won't hurt. Losing world T20 with seniors hurt even more. Seeing the same losers cup after cup after cup. They just blame each other and move on to screwing next world cup. INdia needs to start with a clean slate.

If they pick a side after defining roles they will get somehwere close to winning. If they pick a side with no role definition like they have been doing for a decade they will end up getting their ass handed to them.It is bonkers not to be able to come up with a versatile side in this format

What kind of logic is that , 2007 we won more due to luck than being good.Plus bowlers were excellent.When did we have such bowling attack or when did India get such bowling performances from their bowlers.

 

Some seniors need to go but what youngsters have helped seniors in any ICC tournaments since 2013.

 

Seniors are not the reason for losing world cup finals, it is the so called youngsters who could not do anything.

Who comes up with such bogus scheduling. Hurting our own team in the process.

Hope this WT20 will finally end the tenure of coaching trio of Dravid, Rathour & Mhambrey.

 

Hope we get to see some strong coaches who actually "understand" the game, and they work together with a new captain for 2026 T20 WC and 2027 ODI WC.

IPL ends on 26th May...3-4 days rest with family and then tour to WI-USA.

When will bowlers win some matches for Team India in knockout matches.

 

RP singh bowled 4/26/3 in finals , Pathan 4/16/3.Sreesanth 4/12/2 in semi finals., RP singh against SA 4/13/4 wickets in virtual Qfs.

 

 

When will our great Bumrah end with such figures in a knockout match.Shami did his part in 50 over world cup.We need Bumrah to  be great not just good.Indian bowlers are allowed to dismiss other teams for a change also.

 

You cannot expect batsmen to keep scoring huge runs every match. 155/0 with Bumrah in the lineup is disgraceful bowling.

While I agree with your sentiment but bowlers have to come to party for India to win world cup.When was last time India had great bowling performance from their star bowlers other than Shami in both 2019 and 2023 world cups.

 

How long will Bumrah and co keep getting pass for their stinkers.

 

If Batting has to score 400 in 50 overs and 220 in 20 overs for India to win knock out matches then why do we need guys like Bumrah.
