I think I'll feel more pride in rooting for USA even in early exit. I just can't look at the hero-ball Indian approach that hasn't and won't yield championships. 

 

The Kohli era is much worse than Sachin era considering how much identified talent is at disposal, especially in T20s.

Would have made this squad much better while keeping Sooperstars Kohli, Rohit and Hardik in the team as they are seemingly undroppable. 

 

As much as we like to see youngsters, the selectors are always going to be conservative. 2007 was different because T20 format itself was new. 

No way are they going to pick debutants like Abhishek and Mayank for the World cup. 

 

The only obvious miss was Rinku. He should have been there instead of Chahal.

Will Rohit and Kohli keep trying to play until they win a cup. They had a good career and should just retire. Not everyone achieves everything. Those two are the unofficial undroppable.

 

Jadeja, Pandya, Axar should be dropped.  No one cares.

 

And on top they dig out Chahal from the grave. Seriously.

 

No new talent will get chance until these guys just stick around.

 

Abhishek, Parag, Rana should have got a look. and definitely Rinku should have got in to 15 . why both Avesh and Khaleel? They can make a case that Mayank is not fit but he should have been backup to play a few if needed.

 

More new guys in the pipeline who are too new and probably can wait a bit but some are ready. What can Virat do that Parag can't and he can bowl. Abhishek bowls too. Rana can hold the bat. Why have bowlers as backup that can't hold a bat. 

 

My expectations were low but with Chahal entry and Rinku exit, they failed even the minimum expectations.

Why? I could understand if we were winning with this mentality, but we have won nothing for SEVENTEEN years in T20. We even lost in Asia cup 2022 where we didnt even make the final when 3 out of 6 team were Aghanistan, Bangladesh and Hong Kong. Still having the same conservative thinking is madness.

Nattu, Sandeep Sharma are leagues above Siraj in T20s. I think there must be 50 pacers in India better than this 12 rpo, 50 averaging Siraj.

Because, in India stardom > winning tournaments

 

You already see so many people asking why KL isn't selected. Imagine if Abhishek or Gill took Rohit or Kohli's place

Very disappointing to see Nattu miss out.. He is not even in the reserves. He surely deserves a spot ahead of Khaleel.

Hope bro @Suhaan understands my frustration with Siraj. No matter how bad he performs he is always part of every test, ODI, T20I XI, in every condition. 

 

If Rinku was dropped because of this IPL season, why was Siraj picked? This season he is averaging 53 with the ball, not that he is being economical, he is going at 9.5 rpo.

 

After Jadeja if there is one guy who is backed every single time over other deserving candidates it is Siraj. At least Jadeja has some creds in test cricket and 2013 CT, Siraj's career graph is going like our 90s duds. And on top of that his OTT attitude and emotional dramebaazi without any goods to back it up.

Avesh and Khaleel in back ups but not Nattu. Are the selectors even watching this IPL? They sure are cos they dropped Rinku.

Rohit and Kohli need to drop themselves and declare themselves not available. that way no one questions. 

 

Rest can be dropped. Pandya is no superstar and no all rounder for automatic walk in the team as he desires. the real king life he is leading for the imaginary fast bowling all rounder aura. 

 

Guess have to wait few more years for the entire batch to flush out. Frustrating to be a fan of cricket and not be fan of superstars. Team over Individuals never happens even if they keep saying it.

It is about convenience, they can take performances from IPL when they want to pick and drop someone. Otherwise, how can you justify dropping someone averaging 80 at SR of 176 in T20Is. 

 

This team deserves to lose.
