Yes but you need to play your best team to beat the Australians and the West Indians on their home turf. Dravid and Sharma are pathetic with their team selections and playing xi

How exactly are India top 2? Because they defeated USA and Pak? England losing to aus is no shame, their later win has been much more convincing

On a decent pitch our batting is minnow-level. Openers are walking wickets, no hitting power except Pant and possibly Pandya, non-existent lower order, and bowlers who can't hold the bat. And in bowling take out Bumrah and we're toast. We already know our fielding level.

 

This is a poor team held together by a couple of exceptional players, and another couple of decent performers. Man-to-man they're no match for well-rounded teams such as Aus and Eng. Even WI has seen the light and have revamped their team and I doubt India can get past them either.

Afghans would be a real handful. They can either open the bowling with a spinner or their left armer Fazal Haq Farooqui and our openers are toast. Dube isn't gonna do shyte. We'll depend on Pant, SKY and Pandya to score runs and hope Bumrah runs through their batting.

Our fault for loading side with TTFs who can be shadowed by likes of Liton Das. When we've TTFs & T20 misfits in Rohit & Kohli opening the innings, we deserve to be humiliated.

well.... 3 teams that should have made it have been knocked out in Pak, NZ and SL and three teams Afg, Ban and USA have qualified. The shocker is USA but they had carefully prepared for these surfaces. Pak lost on that 20th over bowled by Rauf and the super over by Amir. The two teams that absolutely stunk it up for this WC were SL and esp NZ.

 

Not much criticism of NZ - don't know if anyone even cares about that sport in their country. They will try to poach some more disaffected South Africans now like Wagner. They came in unprepared with a swagger and are certainly leaving with their tails between their legs.

I'm not really surprised about SL. SL hasn't been a major force for a while now and it was a toss up between B'desh and SL. Pak and NZ are the two surprises so far - not SL. B'desh has been beating SL quite regularly and whoever won the match between the two would've gone ahead. Nothing surprising really.

Usa Bangla and afghans deserve more and they played well . 
 

In super 8 - I expect - 

 

West Indies , Australia , England and India to reach knockouts . 
 

Bangla , Afghan , usa and South Africa will loose at crucial moments or loose some matches really big . 
 

Expecting aus vs West Indies final with West Indies winning.
