Kohli or Jaiswal for the semi-final clash?

Would have ideally liked to have Kohli and Jaiswal open. Kohli was supposed to be better than Rohit. I do feel he had a role on these 150-160 pitches, which he failed to play this time. Not as awful a pick as people are making it.

Why not bring in Jaiswal for semis? Dhoni brought in Raina in place of failing Yusuf Pathan directly in a tough QF against Aus in 2011. Surely they can bring in Jaiswal to open in a T20 :dontknow:

I just think they won't do it, Dravid and Rohit are too stupid. Ideally they should bring in Jaiswal for this useless hack Dube, but it will never happen. England will feast on this loser.

People are not criticizing Kohli being picked. They're calling out Kohli playing in the wrong spot. He's not an opener. His game is not to go after bowlers in the PP overs. He's a no. 3 bat who likes to take his time to get in. Jaiswal is much better suited to play the game Kohli's trying to.

Would have ideally have liked to see Sachin. Not as awful a pick as people are making. We just need to keep living in the past and ignore current failures.

We are literally starting with 1 down for nothing in first or second over but sure not awful at all.

No.

Virat won't be dropped in a Semi Final match. As much as it was a good idea for him to withdraw before the series started, it is a bad idea for him to drop now.

Jaiswal can come in for Dube/Jadeja but even then there is a risk introducing him at this stage. India lost the opportunity multiple times. Jaiswal did not do well in IPL and he was benched all through the tournament. His confidence and match readiness may not be good.

Rohit played an innings that no one expected he will. Who knows Virat may do one next. Got to go with the team now. I have confidence we can beat ENG.

Not dropped but coming in at his favorite position at 3 with Jaiswal coming as an opener.

If there any game they will bet on dube it is this game .. they will want Dube to take down Rashid ..

Kohli will get out to Jofra for sure …  same way stupid pull shot caught out for pace .

My money is on Topley getting him out. Or a spinner if Eng decides to start off with a spinner

Jaiswal can easily come for Jadeja but since Guyana is a spinning pitch, Jadeja is undroppable now.

I will keep Dube just for Rashid.

Jadeja's bowling has regressed to such an extent that he has no control over his length. Never seen him bowl so many short half-trackers "hit me for a 6" deliveries. Jaiswal has to come in to take on Eng pacers in PP.

if there is spin, he might get away.Jaiswal should come in for Dube if its spin pitch, for Jaddu if its flat

Jadeja always flatters when put under pressure.

In CSK Dhoni protects him by not bowling or bowling just after a wicket on flatter pitches.

15 Years of International cricket and always avoids bowling in pp or death. Young bowlers like Bishnoi dares to bowl in super over but Jadeja chickens out everytime. Even Axar is preferred over him for the pp.

Don't think they'll drop Dube. The whole rationale about Dube being picked ahead of Rinku was that Dube is a spin killer in middle overs. Now if they drop him in the match where majority of middle overs will be  bowled by spinners (Adil Rashid, Moeen, and Livingstone), what will it make the team management look?
