Prasidh was so bad in that test series, it is like being taller than Chetan Sharma and being happy with one's height because of that reason.

Mukesh was actually good in SA. He has one of the best seam potions among the bench bowlers. Look beyond speedguns please.

Amongst bench bowlers Akashdeep has the best seam position, he outbowled Mukesh on the home turf vs England. Many folks including me in that match said that Akashdeep is bowling like Shami.

 

Akashdeep is again not a speed demon.

obviously I wouldn’t play Mukesh on flat T20 250+ or 400 type odi pitches against top teams. Horses for courses. He has utility. Just like Arshdeep wasn’t that impressive for few on here (not sure about you so not personal) for his speed but has skillets that are valuable.

I think he was playing hiding a niggle. He has gone into an injury break for a long time since then. 

 

His biggest issue is horrible fitness.

Remember how we all breathed a sigh of relief when Mukesh, Patidar, Bharat etc. were finally dropped in the Eng test series earlier this year. Made our team look so much more fearsome.
