Majority of Pak players are still active in various leagues while ours retired a few years ago and don't play competitively at all.

 

I wonder how Pak intend to take revenge for WT20, Asia Cup, WC 2023 and 16-1 after this "revenge match" also got added to the list

Younis khan, tanvir etc made statements that this win will heal the wounds and bring cheers to Pakistani fans after the disappointment of wt20

Dhoni mishandled him in 2019 World Cup. I always thought he was a good batsman.

India played a odi series against aus just before 2019 wcup. Rayudu failed in that. Shanker on the other hand picked few wickets. India lost 3-2. Recency bias made the selectors pick Shanker instead of Rayudu. Shanker actually was good against Pakistan. But unfortunately injured himself.. no one gained from the whole thing.. and instead DK sat on bench for 9 matches, played the semi final and came to bat with 2 down in overcast conditions. Cant blame him as well.. Guptill got dhoni run out and it was guptills throw which led to 4 overthrows in final. Stokes got hammered for 4 sixes in last over of 2016 t20 wcup and was there in the final over in 2019 odi w cup.in universe so many things happen we have no clue why it does happen or doesn’t.. thats why everything ends in philosophy..

It was Kohli who was the captain. Dhoni actually has backed him throughout in CSK as well. It was Kohli's call the same way Kohli decided to drop Shami for the 2019 SF match or didn't have Umesh or Shami in the CT final after deciding to bowl first on a patta in 2017.
