Akshdeep Singh left the race after 6 km in the 20 km mens walk. He was provided Olympic funding. Provided foreign training and was in high performance centres I guess. He came flying business class. Was given a good per diem and Olympics kit bag with souvenirs. He roamed around Paris walking and smiling. Ate from restaurants and Olympics village. Took selfies. Did everything. When the race started after 6 kms he was 49 out of 49 contestants . Then he decided to drop off. Feel sad for him. Raat ko so ya nahi tha acchi tarah bechara lagta hai. Garmi hai thoda sach main. Koi nahi Los Angeles 2028 hai na. Olympics funding bhi hai bahat. Usme 12 km chal lena. Deepika Didi bhi hoga advice karne ke liye. O haan Photo post karna mat bhoolna Paris ka..

if he is not injured that he needs to be asked to pay back all his costs for the last 4 years- some people are just leeches taking away investment from other deserving ones

Activity in this thread bit less than last time? Think we had more time back then, younger, less responsibilities, WFH, pandemic cloud etc.

Tokyo 2021 was epic fun, in fact that entire period starting from BGT till Olympics was enjoyable for Indian sports fans.

Personally I haven't been able to spend as much time this time. Hope final stretch ends with a bang.

Yup nailed it. Frankly speaking, I was much more happy during the last olympics even with the plandemic and all. This time I don't know piss poor economy, shitty budget, too much work, not enough free time, general angst, etc. It all plays a part. I thought it was just me. I'm glad to have my gut feeling validated. Thank you.

And don't worry about that troll @MediumPacer He always says negative things about India. Think he is a pook

Needs a couple of ppl in the top 4 to stumble in the last round. 1 pt behind the top 3. Not insurmountable... but needs some help from the others.

Which position is the toughest. Kneeling, Prone or Standing..

I think kneeling is the toughest and prone the easiest

Looking difficult for Swapnil after kneeling and prone. 5th position but far from 4th/3rd.

Somebody need to have a stinker for Swapnil to move ahead. Otherwise its looking like 5th position for him.

There is still elimination after that. Someone could mess up at that stage

first standing shot was crap by Swapnil

He was actually good in prone. Now mean reversion. Our standard deviation is always on left tail. Not right tail. Never seen an indian contestant beating all as an outlier.

Think he's strongest in standing pos
