He is young. He will come around. Not everyone has that  inborn killer instinct regardless of ability. But killer instinct alone is not enough. You have to match the opponent skill set as well.

True. Malaysian player got stronger as the match went on and by the end he was so much better than Lakshya. Better player won and deserved the medal.

I don't think it is something to do with fitness. He was moving alright. Just that decision making was poor. Decision making is very very vital in badminton. Putting th eball in uncomfortable area of opponent. But he fed it to his strength in the 2nd and 3rd set. That is where he lost.
