It is common for wrestlers, boxers to starve, minimize water intake for several days before weigh in. Then they eat, hydrate for strength and body holds on to water weight.

 

Here 2 consecutive days of weigh in. She was fine yesterday morning, but today morning overweight.

Jogged, skipped, sauna whole night but after all that still 100g overweight.

No 100 gm is tolerance afaik. Meaning she could have been upto 50.1 and allowed. She must have been 50.6 or above because one readily gives up her hair (200-300 gms) in such situation.

Sistem Tip Laboratory from Istanbul (License Number: 194-MRK) issued its report on 24 May 2022, after the competition ended. The laboratory detected results that didn’t match the eligibility criteria for IBA women’s events."

 

"The situation was completely new to boxing, and IBA, following numerous consultations, decided to conduct a second testing before disqualifying the boxers. However, the second testing could only be conducted in a neutral country and within the IBA competition period.

At the next IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships 2023 in New Delhi, Khelif and Lin were tested following their consent again before their first fights. Blood sample collection was made on 17 March 2023. Dr Lal PathLabs from New Delhi issued its report on 23 March 2023. The findings were absolutely identical to the first test results."

She participated and was defeated in the finals of the World boxing championship in 2022 along with Tokyo 2021. 

Very obvious of Russians accusing of foul play when she defeated a Russian boxer.

At some point we have to prioritize our mental health, peace of mind. Sports gives some good moments but many more crushing ones. Also affecting our work, social life, circadian rhythm. Talking about all sports, including cricket.

It was all fine and dandy till the QF and SF. Once she reached the finals eliminating all the major competitors with the US being the other finalist they got her disqualified. I am done with olympics till we gain some clout with the IOC. I will just stick to cricket.
