A part of me thinks that pulling out of Olympics till we have a Chinese style sports training programmes for kids is the best thing. We are just going to make numbers without any tangible results. If we aren't able to di this then no point competing. Lets just play national games and South asian games. Getting embarrassed every 4 years is getting tiring now

They don't allow them to participate in sports. Not a viable option as a career. It's not encouraged. 

 

Yes Indian origin families are amongst the richest in most western countries but their attitude towards sport is still the same. Job career education etc.

India don't have the advanced doping tech or financial backing in sports to excel. Not the right platform. When that changes it will get better.

No not until corruption in sports is abolished. First need to pick on merit. Many miss out. Then funding as well. Create an institute of sport. Like the IIT of sport. Also need to access to top tier masking agents. Doping programs.
