False start is not cruel, some athletes were taking advantage of it .

0.01 seconds is the margin

Controversial opinion which will make new guy attack me with a pitchfork but for  the greater good I am ok with Vinesh not winning a medal. Every idiot who has no interest in sports was ready to pounce and attack Modi using her medal as a crutch. One thing that unites India regardless of politics, communal differences and ideology is sports. This would have spread a lot of toxicity and divided people towards athletes pushing back their actual accomplishments. For the greater good, her not winning is ok. My sympathy with her though.Chalo ab gaali shuru karo.

BC the way things are going. This Olympics our stars are not aligning.

Hockey we will not win bronze

Neeraj Chopra will not even medal

Actually the worst was NISHA DAHIYA, she would have won Gold too she got injured in wrestling

cursed Olympic campaign for India

No way was she beating the American Amit Elor in SF, who had one of the most dominant runs ever to gold.

Maybe a bronze but even there she would have been up against the top seed from Turkey (and reigning world champion) who eventually won bronze.  Turkish girl was the only person to take points from Elor, lost 2-10 in R1.

If you look at it objectively, even if Nisha had won against the North Korean, it would have resulted in a near miss, not medal.

I felt the way she was wrestling - a bronze was def in the offing. Anyways didn't happen - so who knows.

After elimination right? Don’t they drug test before and after every game?

Yes after elimination. But not sure if it is a WADA banned substance.

Spot on, Amit Elor has never lost any bout in her career.Nobody was going to beat here, I saw her matches she was just too good for opponents.

But she is also competing in lower weight , normally she competes in 72 KG , here she was in 68 KG.

Aditi Ashok at number 1 position after 14 holes in round 1

Too early. 3 more days of competition to go. Good that she's in a good position though. Will know better at the end of day 3 only if she has a chance

Time to make her read Bhagwath Geeta for 3 days after game time.:--D

So her regular weight is 57 kg. Yesterday morning 49.9 kg but fasted, avoided water for several days leading up to that to make the cut.

Yesterday she had some food, water to last the 3 matches and her weight shot to almost 53 kgs.
