Memes about Modi waiting to call Phogat and she not picking his calls. Satish Acharya even had a cartoon over it. What is the mood today? Who gets the blame of this clusterfcuk? Conspiracy theorists are having a field day I have to say. Level of journalism in India is at all time low. Godi Media and Youtube media are all seeking TRP & nobody is interested to have a rational argument. I saw one expert getting fed up with all that in a debate but he wasn't allowed much to speak lol coffee_rules and Cricketics 2

Teengunalagaan Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 What an effort from Dagar, the ball went down the hill in grass banks, that was such a steep slope with 2 putts to par she will get a bogey but it was so close to a par, her first bogey after 16 holes.
coffee_rules Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 She’s a repeat offender https://m.economictimes.com/news/sports/vinesh-phogat-disqualification-news-which-medal-will-wrestler-get-after-disqualification-2016-rio-olympics/amp_articleshow/112339995.cms This, however, is not new for the Indian wrestler as a similar tale had happened back in 2016 at the Rio Olympics. Phogat was disqualified from the first World Olympic Qualifying event in 2016 for the very same reason.

She was already at the end of her tether. No chance of her coming back in Rio. Maybe Asian Games/CWG will be her final farewell
Number Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Antim Panghal was our best medal hope and her draw was a cakewalk till semis. But she didn't even look like herself there. Another one going down the drain.

saransh Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 (edited) I think this is pound for pound probably the worst sporting day for India in it's history. Starting with the hockey SF loss (I think it was past midnight by the time match ended) then the Vinesh disaster, then Antim decimation, TT team losing, none of our athletes qualifying for finals and to top it all India losing to a hopeless SL side. Coincidentally exactly 3 years back, 7th August 2021 was one of the greatest days in Indian sporting history as Neeraj chopra created history with India's 1st Athletics gold! Don't we have physicians and dieticians part of the squad? In sports like Boxing, Wrestling or any related sports with weight categories, you would assume someone will be with the team to monitor & manage weight and calorie intake throughout the competition
